My Library: the explorer

Your personal storage as a file explorer: the four areas, the game sections, folders, breadcrumbs, view and sorting, sharing, and how content gets in.

My Library is your personal storage in Roliando: scenes and maps, adventures, NPCs, documents, music, roll tables and map assets, plus the systems, modules, and items you created or obtained. It works like a file explorer: folders on the left, breadcrumbs at the top, and a grid or list of your stuff.

It opens from the menu, under My Library.

The four areas

At the top there are four tabs:

TabWhat it holds
GameEverything you use at the table: scenes, adventures, NPCs, documents, music, tables, and assets. This is the full explorer.
SystemsThe game systems you created or obtained in the Workshop.
D&D modulesThe D&D compendium modules you own.
ItemsEquipment and item packs.

The last tab you used is remembered between visits.

The explorer (Game tab)

Inside Game, you pick a section and browse its folders:

SectionWhat it is
Scenes and mapsCombat-mode maps saved for reuse.
AdventuresImported adventures (text by chapters + gallery of maps and art).
NPCsSaved non-player characters, ready to drop into any campaign.
DocumentsHandouts and notes for your players.
MusicPlaylists reusable across campaigns.
TablesPersonal roll tables.
Map assetsProps, floors, walls, lights… for the map editor.
Foundry VTTFoundry systems, modules, worlds and compendiums, each with its own upload and explanation.

Every section shares the same controls:

  • Folder tree (left): create, rename, move, and share folders.
  • Breadcrumbs: the path from the root to the open folder; click one to go up.
  • Grid / list: switch the view (the list shows dense rows with name, type, and date). Your choice is remembered.
  • Sort: by Recent, Name, Size, or Type, ascending or descending.
  • Search within the section.

Organizing

  • New folder: button on the toolbar. Rename and delete, from each folder's menu.
  • Move: drag a card (or the multi-selection) onto a folder in the tree, or use "Move to folder…" in the card's menu. There's also a "No folder" folder (the root).
  • Select several: check several cards to move or delete them at once.

Sharing

Every asset (and every folder) has "Share (code)": it generates a code that another person redeems to receive their own copy (with the folder's whole subtree). Sharing a folder carries everything inside it.

Taking it to a campaign

From an asset's menu, "Use in a campaign…" plugs it in where it belongs: a scene onto the map, an NPC into play-by-post, a document into the handouts, a playlist into the player.

How things get in

The library fills up from wherever you create things:

  • Scenes: on the tactical map, Map → Save scene to the Library.
  • NPCs: in the play-by-post NPC panel, "Save to Library" on each NPC.
  • Music: in the player (The Table → Music), "Save to Library" on the active playlist, and then you can reuse it in any campaign.
  • Adventures: "Import adventure (JSON)" and pick your adventure-….json.
  • Foundry VTT: in its group, Foundry systems and Foundry modules upload their .zip, Foundry worlds → Import a world brings a whole world or part of it. "Import from Foundry" in Scenes is still a shortcut for everything.

See also the Import content guide for the details on Foundry, adventure JSON files, and tables.
