Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 21, 2026.

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version at /terminos prevails.

These Terms govern the use of Roliando ("the Service"), a web-based virtual tabletop role-playing platform available at roliando.com. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.

1. The Service

Roliando lets you create characters and campaigns, play role-playing sessions — by voice or in writing, with a tactical table and immersion mode —, take part in the community, and create and share content: game systems, rule modules, maps, adventures, roll tables, puzzles, table apps and your own dice. Fees apply to subscriptions and to the sale and purchase of paid content between users (Workshop).

2. Account and roles

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Every account can play and run games from sign-up, at no cost. There are also two special profiles: Creator and Administrator, each with its own features and permissions. The Creator role is by invitation and requires approval from the Roliando team.

3. Plans and subscriptions

  • Free: play and run games at no cost, with the creation tools subject to the usage limits published in the application.
  • Legend GM: no creation limits, unlimited campaigns, the full table (3D, broadcast, teams and uncapped voice), campaign skins and publishing content on the Workshop.

The Premium Player plan is no longer sold. Subscriptions purchased before its withdrawal remain in force and fully retain the benefits they included for as long as they remain active.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time; you will keep the benefits until the end of the period already paid for.

"Founder GM" offer (launch): during the launch, the first 100 people who subscribe to the premium GM plan get a reduced price locked in for life (EUR 3.99/month instead of EUR 5.99/month) and a permanent Founder badge. The price is kept for as long as the subscription remains active without interruption; if it is cancelled and later taken out again, the rate in force at that time will apply. The 100 seats are not replenished: once taken, a seat is used up even if the subscription is later cancelled (the Founder badge is kept). The offer is limited and Roliando may modify or withdraw it for new sign-ups without affecting those who already enjoy it.

4. Payments and invoicing

Payments are processed by Polar as the official seller (Merchant of Record), which issues the receipt and handles any applicable taxes. Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout and include taxes where applicable.

5. Refunds, cancellation and disputes

All Roliando products are digital (subscriptions and downloadable content within the platform): there is no shipping or return of physical goods.

To request a refund, write to us at info@roliando.com. Requests are assessed case by case and, where appropriate, are handled by the payment processor (Polar). Since these are digital content and services with immediate access, a refund may not be available once provision has begun, without prejudice to the rights that the law grants to consumers.

Cancellation: you can cancel your subscription at any time and without giving reasons from Settings › Subscription › Open subscription portal, which opens your Polar customer portal (also accessible from the link in the purchase email); if you prefer, write to us and we will do it for you. You will keep the benefits until the end of the period already paid for and you will not be charged again.

Disputes and charges: for any charge you do not recognize, contact us first at info@roliando.com and we will resolve it; formal disputes are handled by the payment processor.

6. Workshop (community content)

Creators and Legend GMs can publish their creations (systems, items and packs) on the Workshop, for free or for a fee. All content requires prior approval by Roliando before becoming available.

Access to a paid system is purchased by the GM; their players can create character sheets within that campaign at no additional cost. The purchase grants a personal use license within Roliando, not ownership of the content.

6 bis. Creator Terms (selling and payouts)

These additional terms apply to those who sell content on the Workshop. By setting up your payout method or publishing paid content, you accept them.

  • Commission: Roliando retains 20% of each sale; the remaining 80% belongs to the creator.
  • Payout: the creator's 80% is settled manually (currently only via PayPal). You must set up a valid payout method in your settings before you can sell; without it, your paid content is neither published nor sold.
  • Official seller: Polar is the Merchant of Record for the transaction (it charges the buyer and settles the taxes on the sale). The creator sells their content through Roliando, which pays out their share.
  • Taxes: the income the creator receives from their sales is their own tax responsibility: they must declare it and pay tax on it in accordance with the regulations that apply to them. Roliando may request identification or tax details and disclose them to the authorities when required by law.
  • Rights: the creator warrants that they hold all rights to the content they sell and that it does not infringe third-party rights (see §7 and §7 bis). Infringing content is removed and may lead to the suspension of the account and the withholding of the associated payments.
  • Refunds and chargebacks: amounts refunded or subject to chargeback are deducted from the creator's payout.
  • Approval and removal: Roliando may approve, reject or remove any content, and adjust or suspend sales, in order to comply with the law or these Terms.

7. User content

You retain ownership of the content you create. By publishing it, you grant Roliando a non-exclusive license to host, display and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of operating it. You are responsible for holding the rights to the content you upload and for ensuring that it does not infringe third-party rights.

Content you import. The Service can read files or addresses you point it at and load their content into your private space, and it is compatible with several interchange formats in common use in tabletop role-playing. That compatibility is purely technical: it implies no affiliation with anyone, no endorsement by anyone, and does not mean Roliando supplies you with that content. What you import remains yours and your responsibility — you must have the right to use it — and it lands in your library or your campaign, without being published or entering Roliando's official catalogue. Should you choose to publish it, sections 6 and 7 apply.

7 bis. Intellectual property and content removal

If you are a rights holder (or a representative) and believe that content on the Service infringes your rights, notify us at info@roliando.com identifying the work, the URL of the content in question, your status as rights holder and your contact details. We will review the notice diligently and remove or block any content found to be infringing, informing the uploader where possible, who may submit a response. Accounts that repeatedly infringe third-party rights will be suspended. The licenses and attributions for the third-party content used by Roliando are published on the "Licenses and Attributions" page.

8. Prohibited conduct

  • Copying, reselling or redistributing other creators' paid content without authorization.
  • Circumventing the Service's access, payment or commission controls.
  • Uploading content that is illegal, offensive or infringes third-party rights.
  • Abusing, harassing or impersonating other people, or damaging the platform.

9. Suspension and account closure

We may suspend or cancel accounts that breach these Terms. You can close your account at any time; some obligations (outstanding payments, legal records) may survive closure.

10. Availability and warranties

The Service is provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to keep it available and secure, but we do not guarantee the absence of interruptions or errors.

Roliando is a digital service available internationally wherever its use is lawful. It is not offered to persons or territories subject to applicable legal sanctions or prohibitions. It is your responsibility to comply with the laws of your jurisdiction when using the Service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Roliando shall not be liable for indirect damages or loss of profits. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. For consumers, the consumer protection rules and the jurisdiction they provide for also apply.
